Thank you for joining us and taking a look around the website for Yate Methodist Church, my name is Leigh and I’m the Minister (or Presbyter/Vicar/Priest) here at YMC (amongst other places locally).
My involvement with the life of the Methodist Church began when I joined The Boys’ Brigade aged 9 and has continued since then with increasing involvement, leading to me moving to the area in 2019 to begin ordained ministry.
My real passion in ministry is connecting the church with the local community which has led me to ministry both within the Methodist Church and the British Army.
I really believe that the church should be a welcoming and inclusive place where all feel welcome and are able to share in the grace of God which is given to the world through Jesus. A place where through our words and actions, in the breaking of bread and the sharing of God’s word, people can come to know more about the God who loves us and wants us to love them.

Naomi is Church and Community worker for Yate Methodist Church (and two other local Methodist Churches). She supports our minister, Leigh, and at Yate is often to be seen leading all-age worship and supporting mission initiatives. She is a musician, and her background is in overseas mission - she worked in Cambodia for 10 years teaching music among other things.
