Funerals
The death of a loved one can be a difficult time for all concerned. As Christians we believe that through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we have hope, and cause for thanksgiving in the face of death.
We want to be there for those who grieve, to support those concerned and to pray for those who have faced the realities of death.
We would generally suggest that your first port of call when arranging a funeral would be with a Funeral Director, of which there are a number in Yate and the surrounding area. If you would like a service to take place in our Church building, please mention this to the funeral director and ask them to make contact with our Minister, the Revd Leigh Maydew.
If you would prefer a service to happen directly at a Crematorium or graveside, but still wish a religious service, Leigh would also be available to help you with this process. Again please mention this to the funeral director of your choice.
Leigh will work with you directly to ensure that the funeral service is personal and reflects the life that is being celebrated, as well as supporting you through this difficult time.
Please be aware that there is usually a cost connected with funeral services, whether they take place in our Church building or elsewhere. Leigh will discuss this with you when planning the service.
