Holy Communion
Holy Communion usually takes place each 3rd Sunday of the month.
Holy Communion is an important part of our life together. 'All are welcome' to share Communion with us, as with all other Methodist Churches in the UK. Children are also welcome to share in Holy Communion.
Holy Communion is the sharing of bread (gluten free) and wine (non-alcoholic) as the family of God. This sacrament (an outward sign of inward grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church) reminds us of the body and blood of Jesus; His life, death and resurrection. It is linked to the Last Supper which Jesus shared with His disciples.
Christians believe that Jesus gave His life for each of us, as individuals, as well as all of us, as the world community, to forgive and reunite us with God and strengthen us with the Holy Spirit.
If you wish to take part but struggle with mobility, let our stewards know and communion can be brought to you in your seat.
If you're unsure about receiving communion but want to be included, blessings are offered instead of bread and wine. Please just come forward with others and keep you hands down by your sides.
